Jumping into a major without researching it will only temporarily relieve the pressure you're feeling from your university, parents or peers to make a decision. Doing so might mean more pressure later on in your college career, when you have to shift into reverse and reevaluate which major will truly make you happy. Get the researching and soul-searching out of the way before nailing down a subject.
