Argosy University, Nashville Student Honored as Elementary School Counselor of the Year


(NASHVILLE, TN – 2012)   Argosy University,Nashville student Joshua Stanley has been selected as Elementary School Counselor of the Year at the Middle Tennessee Counselor Association's annual awards banquet in Nashville. Stanley, a student in the Doctor of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision program at the Nashville campus, has served as school counselor for Barkers Mill Elementary School.

"I am deeply honored to be selected for this award,” says Stanley. “I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for educators and mentors who invested in me along the way. I just go to work everyday determined to make a difference for children."

Stanley holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and master’s degree in counseling from Austin Peay State University, and is currently completing his doctorate in counselor education and supervision at Argosy University, Nashville.
